Happy New Year!
As you may know, I’m a writer as well as an artist. The biggest event of 2025 for me was a writing residency with the National Willa Cather Center in the Pulitzer Prize-winning author’s hometown of Red Cloud, Nebraska, the place that inspired so much of her work. Thanks to the Cather Center, Red Cloud has more preserved sites related to a single author than anywhere else in the U.S.! I of course brought my camera and enjoyed photographing the architectural details of the town as well as the Willa Cather Memorial Prairie, a rare never-been-plowed 600+ acres of native grassland.
